Our Winemaking Philosophy

The tractor working in the vineyard

When it comes to winemaking, our philosophy is quite simple. We utilize the best of the best in every stage of winemaking… from the vineyard to your table.

In my experience, 95% of the quality of wine in the bottle stems from the actual grape harvested. That’s why our main focus is finding and utilizing the best possible grapes from Temecula Valley to Central Coast and Northern California regions to make the best available wines with the best available grapes.

When it comes to production, we make sure to use state-of-the-art equipment to bring you the most flavorful wine possible. Newer equipment cleans and separates fruit more efficiently, leaving the fruit less bruised and limits oxidation for a brighter and more flavorful wine.

Even the barrels are specially chosen using new and different oaks for the utmost in complexity, well rounded, full fruit and tannic flavors.

With almost 30 years in the wine business, I have found that with such diverse palates, it’s important to provide a variety of wines so there is truly something for everyone; and that’s exactly what we strive to do at Marshall Stuart Fine Wines. After all, as I have always said “It’s all about the wine!”
